Method The West Bengal government has issued a detailed notification and a public notice to specify that the division of 25 percent free seats in each school must be as follows:
__________ Paperwork100 If more applications are received than the ratio-wise breakup of seats available, preference shall be given to Below Poverty Line (B.P.L.) S.C./S.T./O.B.C. children. In case fewer applications than seats reserved are received in any category, those shall be filled up from among the applicants in other categories. In case the number of applicants from any of the above category is less than the proportionate ratio provided here in above, the same shall be filled up from among the applicants in other categories on pro rata basis. If the school is co-educational then 50 percent of the free seats must be reserved for girls While seeking admission, parents/guardians have to provide certificates issued by competent authorities regarding the relevant status of the family All the expenses on account of study materials and uniform of the children belonging to weaker section and disadvantaged groups admitted in an unaided school shall initially be borne, by such school, which shall be reimbursed by the State Government....
