Uttarakhand Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011
Eligibility
The Uttarakhand government has issued a notification which specifies:
Parents' annual income is `55,000 per year or less
Scheduled Castes (S.C.)
Scheduled Tribes (S.T.)
Other Backward Castes (O.B.C.) declared by the State Government (apart from creamy layers)
Orphan Children
Physically disabled children who fall under the purview of PwD Act 1995 (1 of 1996)
Children dependent on widows or divorced mothers whose annual income is less than `80,000
HIV+ children or those whose parents are HIV+
Children belonging to parents with disabilities (including leprosy affected persons) defined in PwD Act 1995 (1 of 1996) whose annual income is less than`4.5 lakh
Within these two categories in co-educational schools fifty percent of these seats will be reserved for girls
